Terms of Service

Last updated: May 26, 2026.

1. Purpose of the service

Jewel Database is a professional platform for researching, consulting, organizing and analyzing a database dedicated to jewelry, watches, certificates, assay marks, brands, makers, sales, catalogues, images and related documents.

The service is a documentary and identification aid. It is not a certified appraisal, a guarantee of authenticity, an official valuation, investment advice, legal advice or provenance certification.

2. Publisher and access

Publisher: Jewel Database. Contact: contact@jeweldatabase.com.

Access to the detailed database is reserved for users with a valid account, authorization and, where applicable, an active plan. The publisher may refuse, limit, suspend or withdraw access in case of inaccurate information, abnormal use, security risk or breach of these terms.

3. Authorized use

The user may consult the database through normal human browsing, for their own needs or those of the organization for which access was authorized. Unless agreed in writing, exports, quotes, prints and reuse are limited to the features explicitly provided by the service.

4. Prohibited uses

The following are prohibited without prior written authorization: bulk extraction, scraping, crawling, automated collection, rebuilding a competing database, account sharing, quota circumvention, reproduction of third-party images or catalogues, removal of source information, resale or redistribution of content.

The user also agrees not to use the service to mislead a buyer, seller, expert, insurer, auction house or authority regarding authenticity, provenance, condition, value, certification or attribution of an item.

5. Database protection

The database results from substantial investments in collection, selection, verification, digitization, organization, normalization, enrichment and presentation. Subject to third-party rights, the publisher claims database producer rights and reserves the corresponding rights.

6. AI, TDM and vector databases

Content, images, data, metadata and results may not be used to train, test, evaluate, enrich or feed an artificial intelligence system, vision model, vector database, RAG system or valuation tool without prior written agreement.

7. Sources and third-party content

Trademarks, logos, trade names, photographs, scans, certificates, catalogues and third-party documents remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence in the service does not imply affiliation, endorsement or transfer of rights.

8. Personal data and cookies

Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy. Cookies and trackers are described in the cookie policy.

9. Plans, availability and liability

Plans, quotas, financial terms, durations and cancellation procedures are specified in the interface, quote, order form or applicable commercial terms. The service may evolve, be corrected, temporarily suspended or limited for maintenance, security or legal reasons.

The user remains solely responsible for decisions related to purchase, sale, appraisal, attribution, authentication, valuation, publication, import, export or transaction.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory applicable provisions. In case of dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution before referring the matter to the competent court.
